Speaking / Media Bureaus
In order to help showcase open-source and the network security industry in general to the public, Snort is seeking to assist individuals in finding media and speaking opportunities throughout the world. The Snort team will assist in placing individuals with appropriate opportunities within the media (print, online, televised appearances, podcasts, etc.) and speaking slots (keynotes, seminars, user group meetings, etc.), as well as promoting these occurrences on the Snort.org website. These opportunities will include topics such as:
- Network Monitoring
- Forensics
- Snort / Snort-related projects
- Incident Response
- IDS/IPS
Individuals are encouraged to come up with their own topics as well.
Speaking Bureau
The speaking bureau consists of members of the Snort community interested in speaking about security-related topics at industry events. Skilled professionals are encouraged to join and present their specialties.
Media Bureau
The media bureau is made up of community members interested in communicating with the media on subjects relating to network security and open-source. These opportunities will include writing bylines, providing quotes for press releases, acting as references, and speaking to publications.
